Well, as muukau posted, there was a poker-turned-blackjack night at Malibu's on Friday. She and Yenith were the only ones to walk away with any profit ($70 between them), while I got stuck in a consistent losing streak fairly early on. Tavish is well. Abscess was drained without problems. The vet said that it had been contained and hence the surrounding tissue wasn't actually infected. Very fortunate indeed. Tav now has a course of antibiotics that need to be administered meticulously for the next week, otherwise they may need to resort to surgery to completely flush it out ( Read more... )

I was just forced to confront how badly out of practice I am at piano. It's a rather depressing thought for me. But I suppose that's what happens after six years of neglect. Fondue and wine night was a great success by most reports, with only one mild case of samonella poisoning.
